Hello,

I have got a problem. I habe to write an explanation about the effect of an exaggeration (Übertreibung) in cartoons!
NOT e.g. that the nose oder the mouth of a person is exaggerated, but the pichture situation.

I need help ! PLEASE !!! It is very important.   What the effect of an exaggeration in cartoons???

Hi!

Exaggerations in cartoons have the same function as those in every other litterary text.
I´d just write sth like "Exaggerations help to clarify the auhor´s point of view. Being exaggerated the criticism just catches your eye and  you immediately know what the author wants to tell you.
Exaggerations are only stilistic device to underline the author´s intention."
