| Aufgabe | I wouldn't say that violence is an instinct. Needless to say that in some situations violence is necessary to survive but in most cases we act because of our opinion. In daily live we decide on our own.
On the one hand I think that violence is something that we learn. If we experience it, for example, in our family, it becomes naturally for us. I can imagine that most people, that were beaten in their childhood, will also beat their own children. They never lived in a loving and caring environment. Why shouldn't they be aggressive? But on the other hand, I wouldn't say that we learn violence if we watch an horror movie. After that movie I won't started a killing spree. That's ridiculous. Maybe violent movies help aggressive people to find ideas to murder but not more.
It's also possible that violence is the result of frustration. If we are overstrained with a situation or we don't get what we want, we can resort to violence.
